WHAT IS MOTION MEDIA AND INFORMATION?

 

Motion media is a form of media that has the appearance of moving text and graphics on a display, with a purpose of disseminating information to an audience.

 

REFLECTION:

 

Why is there a need to understand motion media and information?

 

Motion media is very popular, accessible, available to the viewing public but misused, abused (pirated) and currently, seemingly not creating enough original quality work for public viewing. It’s about time to bring back its worth and redeem its influence.

 

Criteria for consideration of motion-based media and informationfor the integration to the lesson:

 

a. Suitable number of hours exposed to viewing

b. Developmentally appropriate material

c. Before watching, an introduction or guide questions to aid viewing should be given

d. focused discussion after viewing

e. complements the topic to be discussed

f. observe MTRCB inside the classroom

 

Censorship, canned movies, “tagalized” telenovelas, too much violence and “skin” exposure reflect the state of our society. Let’s be challenged to bring in truth and grace in our classrooms.Great care must be taken in choosing each material to be viewed, that (a) it is not done to consume time and (b) it does not contain unintended double meaning
